The New Zealand Youth Choir leaves on Monday for a three-week international tour, which will include a performance at the World Expo in Shanghai.
Forty-six choristers are going on a 12-concert tour of Singapore, South Korea, China and Australia.
The choir performed their last concert before their departure on Saturday night in Auckland.
The tour is being supported by Creative New Zealand and the Ministry for Culture & Heritage, among others.
Last performance on their itinerary is a live radio broadcast across Australia on 16 July.
That concert will also be broadcast on Radio New Zealand Concert that evening.
The tour is a turnaround for the choir. Two years ago, it lost its sponsor of nine years and was facing a loss of $100,000.
A new chief executive was installed. Barbara George tightened budgets and changed the way events are ticketed.
She says the recession has forced arts groups to seek different streams of funding.
