A 35-year-old man has been arrested following a carjacking in Auckland.
He was taken into custody at Point Chevalier in the early hours of this morning and is expected to appear in court today.
Police were looking for a man yesterday after a stolen car was crashed at a St Lukes intersection.
A man got out and ran down a line of traffic, testing car doors, before pulling a driver out of another car and jumping in.
He then reversed into the driver and as he tried to escape and also reversed into a parked car in a driveway, which smashed into a garage, damaging another vehicle inside.
Two people were left with minor injuries.
Police said a man was arrested this morning at an address in Point Chevalier.
