Two women lost on an island in the Hauraki Gulf are safe and well.
They had been camping on Ponui Island but failed to return from a walk on Tuesday afternoon.
The island is around a quarter the size of Waikehe, approximately 4km by 6km.
They were found by a police boat checking the coastline on Wednesday morning.
