A 21-year-old man has pleaded guilty to causing the death of a teenage girl in a hit-and-run in King Country last year.
In the High Court in Hamilton today, Broc Kawhena admitted a charge of causing death while in charge of a motor vehicle.
Ocean Heke, 17, was found dead on State Highway 3 in Otorohanga early on 3 April 2016, after attending a party.
The original charge of manslaughter will be withdrawn at sentencing in May.
