A woman has died after a two-car crash on State Highway 2 near Eketahuna this morning.
Another woman from the same car is being treated for serious injuries at the scene at Anzac Bridge.
The driver in the second vehicle was not seriously injured, said police.
State Highway 2 has been closed by the accident, and poilice warned it is expected to be closed for another two hours.
Diversions are in placethrough Opaki Road and Morrisville.
