Two men will appear in the Tauranga District Court on Friday charged with two separate bank robberies in Te Puke.
In the first: a man entered the BNZ Bank on Jellicoe Street on Thursday, demanded money and left with a large quantity of cash.
A Whakatane man, 42, will appear in court charged with aggravated robbery of the branch and another bank robbery in September.
In the second robbery: a man entered the National Bank in the same street, demanded money and handed over a note with a reference to firearms.
He was given cash, but waited outside for the police to arrive.
A man, aged 40, will appear in court charged with robbery.
