Police in Wellington are studying security camera footage to try to identify armed robbers who held up a New Zealand Post Shop on Tuesday.
The pair targetted the Kiwibank and Post Shop in the suburb of Kilbirnie just before 2pm.
They were armed with a knife and a cut-down rifle, and threatened customers and staff before making off with less than $3,000. No one was injured.
It is possible the offenders left in a white car, which has yet to be found.
Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Miller says security footage indicates both men were dressed in dark, bulky clothing with lighter coloured balaclava-style head coverings masking their faces.
Police say some customers managed to escape as the robbery unfolded and it is important they come forward.
