Police have found another 23 commercial indoor cannabis-growing operations and arrested seven more people as part of a major two-year undercover investigation.
The inquiry has led to more than 250 arrests, on charges of cultivating cannabis and participating in a criminal group.
The latest arrests included a 43-year-old man who police say was detained at Auckland Airport after coming off a flight from London.
All 16 branches and the distribution centre of the gardening retail chain Switched on Gardener were closed as part of the blitz.
Police estimate 6000 cannabis plants have been seized during the raids and about 60kg of dried cannabis.
The accused have been appearing at district courts around the country, including 17 men who appeared at Auckland District Court on Wednesday.
