The police have made an arrest in the case of a Whangarei bank robbery and bomb scare.
Tikipunga High School was evacuated for several hours last month after police received a phone call warning there was a bomb in the grounds.
Shortly afterwards, a man robbed the ANZ bank in central Whangarei and left in a taxi.
The police named the suspect and published his photograph.
On Thursday morning, they arrested a 27-year-old man after he went to the police station, and say he will be charged in connection with the robbery and bomb hoax.
