A teenager has died in hospital after suffering an electric shock on a power substation in Nelson two weeks ago.
Police say she broke into the substation before climbing a pylon to reach live wires.
The girl, 16, lived in the Nelson suburb of Richmond. She had been in intensive care at Middlemore Hospital after being transferred to its burns unit.
Police will not comment on her death or the circumstances surrounding the incident.
