The Fire Service is investigating what is believed to be a suspicious fire in Northland.
Fire crews were called to a workshop on the corner of Station Road and Rankin road in Kaikohe, shortly before 8.30 pm yesterday.
Fire service shift manager Megan Ruru said the building was fully alight when crews arrived, but nobody was inside.
She said crews had reason to consider the fire was suspicious and investigators would begin work today.
