The discovery of a man's body in the Avon River on Thursday is not being treated as suspicious, Christchurch police say.
A pedestrian walkway along the east side of Hagley Park was cordoned off after the body was discovered.
Police say the matter has been referred to the Coroner and the deceased's next-of-kin are being contacted.
