A man collapsed and died on a popular Christchurch walking route on Sunday.
Members of the public helped him and carried out CPR until an ambulance arrived and a helicopter was called.
But he died on the Bridle Path Track, 200 metres from Summit Road.
Police in Lyttelton would like to speak to the people who helped the victim.
