[n] Finalists for the New Zealand Post Children's Book Awards include two of the country's most renowned writers for children.
Joy Cowley book Cowshed Christmas, and The Word Witch by Dame Margaret Mahy are finalists in the Picture Book category.
Hu-Hu Koroheke, a Te Reo Maori book, is a finalist in the same category together with the English version Old Hu-Hu by Kyle Mewburn.
Voting begins on Thursday on the Children's Choice Award.
The awards will be announced on May the 19th.
