The police in Hamilton have charged a woman with murder after the discovery of a body in Frankton on Tuesday.
Detectives say a 40-year-old woman was arrested after another woman's body was found at a Blackburn Street home shortly after midday.
The police hope to formally identify the victim on Wednesday, as well as complete an examination of the scene and canvas of the area, with officers speaking to witnesses.
The arrested woman will appear in the Hamilton District Court on Wednesday.
