Police have found a tent and bike belonging to a German tourist who was attacked and robbed in Northland last week.
The 48-year-old man had been cycling around the north and is recovering in Whangarei Hospital from serious head and facial injuries.
Police found his bike and tent in a forest area not far from where he had stopped to camp, but his passport, travel documents and clothes are missing.
