Police are searching for two people after a Christchurch man was stabbed in the chest with a glass bottle last night.
They said the attack on the 19-year-old took place just before midnight in the suburb of Hoon Hay.
Police said the man was walking home from a friend's house when two people got out of a four-door sedan and one assaulted him with a broken bottle.
A spokesperson said the two people left in their car when the victim's friends came outside after hearing him shout for help.
The man was taken to Christchurch Hospital and treated for a single stab wound to the chest.
