Teens remanded on murder charge

The two teenagers charged with the murder of a Whangarei man have again been remanded in custody with continued name suppression.

The youths, both aged 17, are accused of the fatal beating of Michael Griffin, who died of head injuries on October the fifth.

The High Court in Whangarei asked for a psychiatric report on one of the men to decide if he was fit to stand trial.

They will reappear in court on 6 November.
