3:52 pm on 16 October 2014

Three people allegedly involved in a gang that targeted elderly women on Auckland's North Shore, stealing thousands of dollars from their bank accounts, have appeared in court.

Police executed a number of search warrants yesterday as part of an operation, resulting in the arrests.

They also seized a large amount of clothing, including wigs, caps, handbags and shoes.

Two women and a man appeared in the North Shore district court today on charges that included participating in a criminal gang, burglary and fraud.

Police said another man is still being sought.
