Christchurch police are appealing for public help in identifying a man who robbed a post shop and pharmacy at gunpoint yesterday afternoon.
The incident occurred at the Phillipstown Post Shop and Pharmacy on Ferry Road.
Police said a female staff member was threatened with a knife and gave cash to a man, who then left the shop on foot.
They described the offender as Pakeha, of stocky build, about 172 cms tall, clean-shaven with a round face.
He was wearing a red-and-black Swanndri-branded check jacket over dark-coloured jeans, they said.
