Police have arrested a man in connection with the gunpoint robbery of a BNZ bank in the Wellington suburb of Tawa today.
A police spokesperson said the robbery, just before midday, caused distress and concern to bank staff and public in the area.
A 42-year-old Porirua man has been charged with aggravated robbery and will appear in court tomorrow.
