The police have mounted a manhunt for an armed man after a 20 year-old man in the Hutt Valley was shot through the hand on Friday by a bullet that also grazed his head.
The wounded man is in a stable condition in hospital
The police said he was apparently lured to the address where he was attacked.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thornton said an occupant of a house in Harley Grove, Lower Hutt, was being sought.
Mr Thornton said the man had several associates and he was urging them to let police know where he is.
Two other people have appeared in court in connection with the incident.
