Most roads reopened after snow

All but two roads affected by snow and ice overnight have been reopened.

State Highway Six is now open from Haast to Kingston, although the Transport Authority says to expect delays.

State Highway 87 from Palmerston to Kyeburn north-west of Dunedin is also back open, but State Highway 85 from Outram to Kyeburn remains closed.

In the North Island, a section of the Desert Road from Rangipo to Taihape remains closed and an alternative route is in place.

The Rimutaka Hill Road between Wellingtpon and Wairarapa is now open after snow forced its closure but caution is advised.
