Police make arrests and seize drugs

Police in the Wellington region have arrested 21 people and seized thousands of dollars worth of methamphetamine.

They say police staff have been deployed in Wellington, Porirua, the Kapiti Coast and the Hutt Valley in the past week.

Twenty-nine search warrants were issued, with 21 people arrested, aged between 21 and 52.

Police say methamphetamine, cocaine and LSD were among the drugs seized.

They say a significant amount of stolen property and $20,000 worth of the drug, P, were located at a Wellington property.

A house in the suburb of Tawa, valued $300,000, has been seized.

Police say the people that have been arrested will appear in court on various charges, including serious drug dealing.
