Police are treating the death of a Dunedin woman as unexplained, but not suspicious.
They have cordoned off a property in Burnett Street in the suburb of Carlton Hill after being notified by one of the woman's family just before midday on Wednesday.
Police said at this stage how the woman died is unexplained, but they are not seeking anyone else.
They say the woman's name and other details will be released once she has been formally identified and all of her next-of-kin told.
