Auckland police have launched a homicide inquiry into the death of a baby last month.
A police spokesperson said Stevve Lawson died on 2 May, three days after she was admitted to Starship Hospital with unexplained head injuries.
Police were still trying to determine how the girl's injuries were caused, the spokesperson said.
