Harleys, gold, cars seized in drugs bust

The police have seized more than a dozen cars, gold, and seven Harley Davidson motorcycles in a methamphetamine bust.

They searched a property on Taonui Road near Feilding on Thursday, finding a significant amount of methamphetamine, along with chemicals and other drug-making equipment.

Other items seized included about $20,000 in cash, nine high-powered cars, two utes, a BMW vehicle, seven Harley Davidson motorcycles, a quad bike, luxury watches, and a five ounce gold ingot.

A 44-year-old man from Palmerston North was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine for supply.

He was remanded in custody at the Palmerston North District Court on Thursday.

The police said further charges against the man were likely.
