Cheapskates out of luck in NZ cities

Wellington is the second most expensive city in the world for a cut-price date.

Deutche Bank's Cheap Date Index measures the cost of a night out in 32 international cities, including taxi rides, burgers, beers and a movie.

The most expensive city is London, where a cheap night out will set you back $132.

Second is Wellington at $120, while Auckland comes in at number 10, rating it more expensive than New York.

Like the Big Mac Index, the Cheap Date Index tries to measure the cost of living in various centres but without including housing costs in the mix.
