An Auckland teacher is fighting to keep his name secret after denying that he committed an indecent act in the classroom of one of Auckland's most high profile schools.
The man appeared in Auckland District Court on Wednesday, when he entered a not guilty plea to the charge.
The court heard that the school at which the man taught no longer wants its name suppressed, but the man's lawyer told the court his client still does not want to be named publically.
A hearing on those suppressions is due to take place later this month.
The Teachers' Council register shows the man's practising certificate has been suspended.
