Police officer disqualified for month

A Wellington police officer has been disqualified from driving after an accident involving another officer.

Sergeant Mark Moody of the district road policing group was returning from convoy training in the Wairarapa when he rear-ended the motorbike of a fellow officer.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash but Mr Moody suffered serious injuries and took time off work to recover.

He has been disqualified from driving for a month.
