The police have referred the death of a seven-month-old baby in the water at a marina in the Coromandel to the coroner.
They say Carlo Domett Caesar was at Whitianga Marina when the incident happened on Saturday.
The police say their investigation is continuing, and victim support staff are working with the baby's family, who are "understandably distraught".
