Money could force Warriors to Eden Pk

Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah says a lack of investment might force the rugby league team to move to Eden Park, even though fans want the team to stay at Mount Smart Stadium.

Auckland Council is looking to reorganise sports at Auckland's four stadiums in proposals which are part of its annual plan.

Warriors fans are divided about a move to Eden Park, which is larger.

Mr Scurrah, says Mount Smart needs millions of dollars to bring it up to international standard, which the council does not want to invest.

He says he understands some fans don't want to move because they think Eden Park is too big, but they have to understand the club does not have many options.
