A search for a Kawhia man in Hamilton is on its eighth day.
Trevor Smith, 70, who has mild dementia and diabetes, was last seen by family members at the entrance to Waikato hospital at 5pm on 17 March.
There have been a number of sightings of Mr Smith over the last week, some of which have been confirmed.
Police have used a helicopter and a boat to search parts of the Waikato River and the helicopter was also used to check farm land south of the city.
They believe Mr Smith may be in a disorientated state.
