The High Court in Wellington has confirmed the trial of Mark Lundy will begin on 9 February next year.
He will be retried for the murder of his wife Christine and daughter Amber in August 2000, after the Privy Council last year quashed his earlier convictions.
Lawyers for the Crown and Mark Lundy on Thursday took part in a telephone conference with Justice Ron Young to discuss the timetabling of pre-trial hearings.
Pre-trial challenges to the Crown's scientific evidence will begin on 30 June and two weeks have been allocated for that hearing.
Mark Lundy remains on bail at a location that has been suppressed by the Court.
