A Christchurch man injured in an assault in the suburb of New Brighton more than a week ago has died.
Twenty-year-old Alfred Waterhouse had been in Christchurch Hospital with critical injuries after being assaulted at a Beresford Street property early on 2 March.
A 20-year-old man has been charged with injuring with intent, while a 30-year-old man has been charged with assault.
Both have been remanded on bail and more charges could be laid.
