The Japanese girl mauled by dogs in the Bay of Plenty town of Murupara remains a critical but stable condition at Auckland's Middlemore Hospital after multiple surgeries.
The hospital says Sakurako Uehara's condition is unlikely to change for the next few days.
The seven-year old was attacked by four dogs while she and her family were at the house of a family friend on Monday.
The Accident Compensation Corporation says it will cover all medical costs for her surgeries and related treatment, and a donation line set up by the hospital has raised about $65,000 for the family.
A police investigation into the attack is continuing. The dogs have been put down.
