Three people have been taken to hospital following a a serious vehicle crash in the Kawarau Gorge near Queenstown on Wednesday.
One person had to be airlifted to hospital, while two others have been driven to Lake Districts Hospital.
The Frankton Fire Service said the crash involved two vehicles and happened on the Gibbston side of the A J Hackett bridge.
State Highway 6 was temporarily closed, but has since been reopened.
