A man has been charged over an incident in which a man was stabbed 10 times in his home in Nelson on Friday night.
The 41-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and two counts of assaulting a police officer.
He is due to appear in court on Monday.
The victim is in Nelson Hospital in a stable condition.
Police say the men were known to each other.
