The police dive squad is planning to go back into Wellington harbour on Friday to search for items possibly dumped after a woman was killed in November.
Mei Fan was found dead in her Miramar house and a postmortem confirmed she died of multiple injuries consistent with a violent attack.
Police searched Miramar Wharf in November looking for items of interest related to a disguise the killer may have used.
Divers searched the several kilometres from Miramar Wharf to Shelly Bay on Tuesday, but no related items have been found.
Detective senior sergeant John van den Heuvel says divers are hoping to search further north from Shelly Bay on friday morning.
He says the disguise may have included hats, gloves, wigs or clothing.
