An insurance company is warning people to back up data on their electronic devices because the content is uninsurable.
AA Insurance says it receives about 25 claims a week involving lost digital data, including mobile phones being damaged, lost or stolen.
The company says that while a mobile phone can be insured, the data on the device cannot be covered.
AA Insurance's head of customer relations, Suzanne Wolton, says people need to store data, such as photos, on multiple platforms.
Ms Wolton says a lot of people are devastated whey they lose things such as photos from their mobile phones.
