The Waikato Times leads with the headline, 'Rest home Woe Exposed' and has details of complaints made against 12 Waikato care homes.
The paper has obtained details of the complaints which included unexplained fractures and infected sores. It says in one case a care home was compared to a concentration camp.
In other news: the paper says love is blooming in Hobbiton after a tv show The Bachelor used the Matamata film set for one of its episodes.
Dominion Post
The Dominion Post has a map and details of the proposed link road from Petone to North Grenada. The paper says the road will shave 10 minutes off the trip, but land owners whose properties would be affected remain unconvinced.
Also in the the paper is news of a second death in four months on a stretch of road linking Porirua and the Kapiti Coast with the Hutt Valley. The Transport Agency is looking into safety concerns about the area.

The Press says Christchurch is to be a test site for the construction of hundreds of affordable pre-fabricated houses. The company behind the scheme aims to build up to 500 homes.
But one master builder who spoke to the paper says the biggest challenge would be getting New Zealanders to buy pre-fab homes.
And the front page also has pictures of flooding on Maidstone Road in Avonhead which affected six houses. A scrub fire is pictured near West Melton where the paper says the rain arrived just in time to dampen down the fire.

The Otago Daily Times reports on claims made by Labour MP Shane Jones who has accused the Australian-owned supermarket Countdown of blackmailing New Zealand suppliers into paying to keep their products on its shelves.
The paper says the claims are ''categorically'' denied by Countdown owner Progressive Enterprises.
And the Wells brothers from Wanaka are pictured competing in the Sochi Winter Olympics. The headline reads, 'Nation's hopes ride with the Wells Brothers'.
