A man has been stabbed on a fishing vessel in Nelson. Police were called to the Nelson wharf at about 3.30am.
The man, a crew member on the boat, was taken to Nelson hospital with serious injuries and has since undergone surgery.
Another crew member is expected to appear in the Nelson District Court later this afternoon in the day.
The exact charge is yet to be confirmed.
