100 Syrian refugees not enough

The Syrian community says New Zealand's decision to take 100 refugees is a good first step, but it should accept more.

Syrian Solidarity New Zealand spokesperson Ali Akil says this country's yearly intake quota of 750 refugees has been unchanged for more than a decade.

Mr Akil says he's also concerned that New Zealand bans refugees from the Middle East and North Africa unless they have relatives here.
