A 10-year-old child is in hospital with critical injuries after being hit by a car in Pukekawa, south of Auckland.
Police say the child was struck near a bend on Morrison Road just before 4.30pm on Thursday.
St John Ambulance says the child was taken by helicopter to Starship hospital in Auckland.
