A young Fijian woman has died after being found at the bottom of a hotel swimming pool in Hamilton on Saturday night.
Deepika Rani Kumar, 18, went for a swim by herself and was pulled from the pool after being found unresponsive, about 20 minutes later.
She died in Waikato hospital late on Sunday night.
Miss Kumar was in the city with a church group to attend the Parachute Christian music festival.
Her death has been referred to the coroner.
