Police have named a man found dead metres from his car on a rural road near Taupo.
The body of Graham Orringe, from Napier, was discovered 8.45am on Friday by Maroa Road, off State Highway 1. His vehicle was parked at an intersection nearby.
A post-mortem has been carried out on the 62-year old, and police say his death is not being treated as suspicious.
