Singer-songwriter Lorde will attend the Grammy Awards ceremony in the United States rather than playing a highly anticipated Auckland gig, but local fans will still get a chance to see her perform.

The 17-year-old has four nominations in America's premier music awards; song of the year for Royals, best pop solo performance and best pop vocal album for Pure Heroine.
The awards ceremony in Los Angeles on 26 January clashes with the Laneway festival to be held in Auckland's Wynyard Quarter where she was billed as the headline act.
Festival organisers announced on Monday that Lorde won't appear as originally scheduled but will have a standalone concert at Silo Park on 29 January.
Laneway co-director Ben Howe says he completely supports Lorde's decision. "It would have been nice to have her do the festival but for me, as a music fan, in a way it's even cooler that she's had such an incredible achievement."
The show will be free to people who bought festival tickets before 8 January and there will be additional independent ticket sales.
The Festival is an over-18 event, but Lorde's rescheduled performance will be open to all ages.
