Police in Waikato say there is bumper to bumper traffic on State Highway 2 between Auckland and the Coromandel Peninsula and they are urging drivers to be patient.
They say there is no particular reason for the heavy traffic, but motorists will face delays and they should drive safely and allow extra time for travel.
