A motorcyclist has died and four others are injured after a car collided with the group near Rotorua.
The crash happened on State Highway Five about 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
St John Ambulance says one motorcyclist is in a critical condition and two others have moderate injuries and have been taken to Waikato Hospital.
The road is closed and diversions are in place.
