A man has died after the stock truck he was driving went over a bank and hit a tree in Northland.
Police say the crash happened at the intersection of Picadilly and Mataraua Roads in rural Kaikohe at 6.45pm on Monday.
They say the truck has cattle on board and local farmers are helping out. Heavy equipment is needed to pull the truck out.
